Crash Near Kearney Injures Two

Two vehicles crashed on 92 Highway and left two young drivers with injuries on Thursday.

The crash happened on Thursday morning on 92 Highway and Plattsburg Road. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Tyler E. Murphy, 26, of Kansas City was making a right turn on Plattsburg Road when his 2024 Chevy Silverado was hit.

The Silverado was struck by 21-year-old Aiden A. Jackson, of Liberty. Jackson’s vehicle, a 2014 Ford Focus, hit the Silverado head-on as Murphy was making the turn on to Plattsburg Road.

Both drivers had serious injuries and were transported to Liberty Hospital for treatment by the Kearney Fire and Rescue Protection District. The Highway Patrol report indicates that both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
