Victim’s Family Looks for Answers

The family of a man who was killed in a hit-and-run collision is asking for help in solving the mystery of how it happened.

John Paul R. Scheidecker of Liberty was killed on Sunday, July 30, when he was struck by another vehicle near NE 120th Street between A Highway and Fishing River Road. The crash happened just two miles from his home when he was returning from a friend’s birthday party.

Traffic investigators say Scheidecker was outside of his truck when he was hit by another vehicle. The other vehicle did not crash into Scheidecker’s truck.
