Get Ready for Homecoming 2023

The Bulldogs are preparing for a festival of spirit during the 2023 “Hocochella” Homecoming Week, which will be held Set. 25-29 this year.

As in the past, there will be a wide variety of spirit theme days and activities across Bulldog Nation during Homecoming Week.

The week will culminate with the 2023 Homecoming Parade and football game on Friday, Sept. 29. This will be a half-day for students. Middle, junior and high schools will release at 10:30 a.m. Elementary schools will release at 11:35 a.m.

The Homecoming Parade will begin at 2 p.m. A map of the parade route is included below. Please note that a permission form must be completed by every Kearney School District student who will be participating in the Homecoming Parade. These forms must be collected by float or group sponsors or leaders and must be on hand for the duration of the event.

Parade participants are limited to school organizations or our youth sports programs. Qualifying organizations or programs that want to participate should complete and submit the Parade Entry Form to Kearney High School Student Council Sponsor Brittini Starzl before the end of the school day on Friday, Sept. 22. Forms can be placed in her mailbox at school, sent via interoffice mail or scanned to her email (starzlb@ksdr1.net). Late submissions run the risk of not being included in the parade lineup. Ms. Starzl will respond with additional details for parade participants.

Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. for the KHS versus Ruskin football game at Bulldog Stadium. Purchase tickets using the online box office.
