Clay County Presidential Caucus Scheduled March 2

On March 2nd, Clay County will hold its Presidential Caucus to help select the next Republican nominee for the President and Vice President of the United States. The Caucus replaces a Presidential Preference Primary and will be the only way Republicans in Missouri can express their presidential choice this election year.

“This is how we, as grassroots Republican voters, will make our voices heard,” said Clay County Republican Chairman Gary Smedile. “The caucus will be the first step in how the Missouri Republican Party will select and bind delegates to a candidate for the Republican National Convention.”

Caucuses will be held in every county across Missouri just days before Super Tuesday, making Missouri an important step on the campaign trail for the remaining candidates.

“I know it seems like we say it every year, but 2024 is quite possibly the most important election in our lifetimes,” said Krissi Richmond, Vice Chairman of the Clay County Republicans. “Will we reverse the terrible effects of Bidenomics? Will we secure our borders? What kind of country will we pass down to our children? These are the questions Americans face in 2024.”

The Clay County Presidential Caucus will take place on March 2. Doors open at 8 am and close at 10 am. No late admissions will be admitted after 10 am. The caucus will be at Oak Park High School, 825 NE 79th Terrace, Kansas City, MO 64118. Use the south entrance closest to the football field.
