Mobile Music Box Returns to Kearney

Members of the Kansas City Symphony are scheduled to perform next month at the Mid-Continent Public Library as part of the Mobile Music Box program.

Kearney residents will have a chance to experience the Kansas City Symphony without leaving town. The Symphony’s Mobile Music Box musicians travel I-35 north to the library on Monday, May 6.

It will be a fun and free concert that’s sure to please. The ensemble will perform much-loved works and pieces that will become instant favorites. Audience members were entertained at Lion’s Park in 2021, by the Mobile Music Box with selections from a varied program of works which includes Mozart’s Magic Flute, Scott Joplin’s Ragtime Dance, Rossini’s Barber of Seville, and more.

The concert will occur weather permitting, and concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

The Mobile Music Box concert begins at 6:30 pm and is free to the public. More information about the concert series is available on the Kansas City Symphony and Mid-Continent Public Library website.
