Kearney Residents Safe After Rollover Crash

Two Kearney residents are safe after a crash on I-35 Tuesday morning. One woman was uninjured, and another suffered minor injuries.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Joy Sells, 75, of Kearney was driving her GMC Sierra southbound on I-35 at 10:23 am Tuesday when she attempted to make a lane change to the passing lane of the interstate. Sells crashed into a Mitsubishi Endeaver that was in the passing lane and was driven by 40-year-old Cassie Kitchell.

Kitchell’s vehicle veered off the highway where it overturned onto its side. Kitchell was wearing a seatbelt and suffered minor injuries. She was taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment. Sells was uninjured in the collision.
